Original Web Series, Added By You!
I have a web series that I've been producing. Fortunately we've all become very busy and my crew has scattered to the wind. I want to continue the series and it's a simple shoot done around a dinner table. I want to by a camcorder/camera to continue on my own and see how it all comes out. Any suggestions on what to buy? I want to keep it pretty low priced (under $1000) as it's really me attempting to do the work on that end. I'm a writer.
The Canon T3i is an awesome camera in that price range. Shoots 1080p. Search 'T3i Raw Footage' on YouTube.
Check out Chris Jones' blog on the perfect guerrilla filmmakers kit
Keep in mind that 1000 pounds is equivelent to 1500 US dollars
There are a lot of great camcorders out there for under $1000. Heres one I own and recommend (Sony HDR-CX580V ) and its only $798 with free shipping and no sales tax if you live outside NY. B & H Photo Video is a very good store to purchase from. I have bought 8 cameras from them over the past 10 years and have always been happy with the service and product. This camera works great in low light, has 32gb flash memory on board and you can add more memory with sdhc cards. You can check out the rest of the specs from this page:
or check out all their camcorders:
Good luck, J
