Hello WSN,

My name is Ramsey and I am the Creative Director for Spikes Hill Production we are currently in production with three web show.

Ghost is our full length animated dramatic series. The story follows the life of a young corporate hit man. His job is to force business owners to sell their companies by any means necessary.

We are also in the progress of going into production of our second season of our "Adult-Topics" talk show, JUST KICKING IT with Ramm Zee (www.spikeshillproduction.com). This show is a no holds barred late night talk show where we discuss any and everything under the sun.

We're also proud to be going into production on a spinoff show from JKI, known as LADIES NITE OUT. The is an all female panel talk show. "Think the VIEW or THE TALK without filters".

I am so happy to a part of this community and will do my best to be a positive and productive member. I have loaded the first season of Ghost on my page.

Welcome to WSN Ramsey!

Thanks Rich

Hey another Ramsey...welcome!

Hi Ramsey (lol),

I am so happy to meet another Ramsey, who has that as a first name, can't tell you the number of times I've introduced myself and someone asks me is that your last name?
Which is strange to me since from my perspective Ramsey doesn't sound (or look) like a last name, I mean it's not like if we had a first name like Smith, or Johnson; those I could see confusing some people.

Welcome aboard. I suggest you take a gander at what others here are doing and leave feedback on their shows.

I will definitely set aside sometime to do that, Jarrod.

Ramsey shalom,

Please elaborate on your activity. How they are done? Amount of time? Work needed? Team?

I am very interested in this kind of graphics shows but have no clue. So please tell me.

Currently I am in the process of producing our third web series another talk show this one an all-female show titled "LADIES NITE OUT".

We are scheduled to start streaming the second seasons of our other two shows (JUST KICKING IT - adult talk & GHOST - dramatic animated series) in a few weeks.

Just Kicking It and Ladies Nite Out are both taped weekly with an editing turnaround of about four/five days. GHOST currently takes around six months to complete from script to streaming. The main reason for this is I do not show any episode until the entire season is completed, and I am currently working on this particular project (write/cast/direct/edit) on my own.

I produced Ghost using an animation software called Moviestorm (please tell them I sent you - lol), which takes out the entire workload of frame by frame animation. MS is not the best program I've seen but its highly capable of producing a quality product if one puts the time in.

Honestly if I wasn't involved with producing my two talk shows I could probably have six 30 min episodes of Ghost completed in three to four months.

Ramsey shalom,

Thanks!

How long did it take you to learn the use of the Moviestorm software?

What other programs are there?

If you are already into production the Moviestorm program has a very small learning curve. Once you've learned the interface which shouldn't take more than an hour or two you are ready to start making your very own movie.

Probably the best "Non-Industry" software to use is Iclone. The pros of using Iclone over MS is that you have total control over the animation, the sets, the props, and characters (from looks to size to age, etc). The cons about Iclone verses Moviestorm are you must use frame by frame animation (though they are working on making that better), the rendering is a lot longer, and additional packs and content are more expensive.

Then of course there's what the "Big Boys" uses which is Autodesk, and Maya 3D. I have both of these programs and have not had the time needed to master them so I really cannot give you a lot of insight on them, anymore than to say that they are really really powerful and you will only be limited by your imagination; the learning curve however can be a bit steep if you're not already into 3D modeling.

Two more honorable mentions are Cinema 4D and Blender (both currently are still free I believe).  Both are more complex than MS or Iclone, yet not as powerful as Autodesk, and Maya 3D.

Ramsey

Rum Zee shalom,
