I use it. And yes it's a good way to promote but I'd mix it up with personal and professional. Just posting promotional stuff will inevitably turn people away.

I'm always working on X. I'm in the middle of making some changes to the cast because of illness. Should have a new episode out very soon. The show keeps growing, so I can't complain.

It seems like it would be best used for reinforcing brand awareness. With the more casual/laid-back feel of the program, I'd suspect it would be good for behind the scenes and candid photos.

I'm not sure about Instagram either! Considering so many people use it and what with Facebook purchasing it, it could possibly be the next easiest way to promote. I don't know much about it personally but it seems to me, when I did use it, you could really only invite 'friends' or 'followers' by using existing contact lists on facebook or twitter, they may have changed it a great deal but that's what I remember from trying it for about a month, then much like other apps...I forgot I had it. lol
