It's okay. Just like anything it needs to be worked but most people on there seem to post a lot about fashion and food. I've been working on it a little bit.

Pinterest is used mostly by women and gay men into fashion, food, families, music, pets, d.i.y., etc. I could see a modern day romantic comedy series, maybe even some cross over into "nerdom" and geek culture having success there.
Definitely not a post apocalyptic or sci fi series. If your web series is about two mid twenties girls struggling to make it through fashion school while balancing love, wearing awesome wardrobes, and having cute pets you will probably strike pinterest gold. Throw in a boyfriend or husband that's in a rock band and speaks french and you nailed it.
If your audience is on Pinterest it will work. But if that's not where your audience is its just not going to work and that's the same for any other platform.
