Hey all,

Recently I posted a blog entry discussing Crackle debuting Candy Stripers on Youtube. This raises the question; is nudity and other R-Rated content now okay on Youtube?

Nudity is an essential part of entertainment. From my understanding, semi/tasteful nudity is fine on Youtube as long as you don't show penetration. - rich
I think it if you shot it tastefully it would be okay - creative use of the camera will do wonders to push nudity away from the "Porn" Look.

Nudity is an essential part of entertainment.

Its very worrying when extreme scenes of violence are considered OK but natural nudity is considered not OK.

In LA most called me a "pornographer" because my show features girls in 80's workout leotards.

You need more boobs in your show.

Not funny.

I can't see Candy Stripers on the link as its not available in my territory.  Is the film available for free or is it rental?

On the UK version of youtube.com/movies there appears to be plenty of "18" rated for adults only films for rental. In fact the LGBT section is full of what looks like erotic TLA movies.

Well, our most popular episode (and most stolen and reuploaded) was recently removed from YouTube after about 7 months for "violating the community guidelines".  No chance for the content restriction or anything. Just removed.  Well... ok. :)

We aren't bothered by it. Our show has several homes. :)

We've had it on Vimeo since jump and communicated with them about our show before we even created and account so we don't have any issues with our content on there. But YouTube... hit or miss.

Oh yeah, and the episode had no nudity (no nudity in the series) but it's a comedy about adult toys so we aren't exactly being reserved about a racy subject. I could probably say they didn't like the sheer lingerie or her simulated toy use but that's in most of the episodes so who knows. :)

*note: There was a person who kept stealing the video and reuploading it (this is where google alerts for your show really comes in handy). We kept having the video removed. After the last removal the video was flagged (most likely by the person who'd been stealing it) and YouTube removed the video.
