Hi all,

I have seen the " (youtube) promoted" first episode of a web series getting many views and the "non promoted" subsequent episodes not getting that much. My idea is to promote the season finale or the last episode of the season. The views may then trickle down to earlier episodes and thereby increase the view count of the whole series and get new fans.

I am interested to know whether anybody has tried this?

Cheers,

Surag

Good thread Surag. Haven't seen this tactic anywhere. Test it and let us know how it works out for you.

The other thing to do is if a particular episode has a real world calendar theme then promote that episode and make sure the meta-data will be picked up by YouTube and Google search engines. For example if one episode is about a couple on a date for Valentines then make sure your meta-data and title cashes in on the inevitable searching people will do on YouTube and Google in the week of Valentines.

You can't guarantee meta-data will be picked up by Youtube and Google. Or can you? If so, how?

Awesome strategy! This site will help you to promote your episodes and get YouTube views.
