Quest for an Unknown Planet - Season 1 and Bonusodes. Feedback Welcome!

Our web series, Quest for an Unknown Planet, is a behind-the-scenes comedy about two writers of a B-level science fiction show, also called Quest for an Unknown Planet. The show-within-a-show is a step below science fiction series such as Star Trek, Star Trek: Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica, Sliders, or Stargate. In Quest for an Unknown Planet, the crew of the METCIS, a dimension-jumping spaceship damaged in its maiden voyage, travel to different planets in a weekly show which airs on the History Channel.

Each episode of the web series shows some part of the creation of the fictional show: writing, shooting, editing, and promoting. The writers and co-creators of the show use elements of their lives (dealing with actors and executives, dating, recording commentary tracks, and so on) in the final show; clips of the show-within-a-show are shown before and after each episode.

You can see the first episode, EPK, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LZXneS4jBk

We've got 4 episodes and another 4 mini-episodes out so far this season, with new episodes out every Wednesday. The entire season will have 10 episodes and 10 mini-episodes.

By the way, the "Websclusive Bonusodes" are our tongue-in-cheek way of stretching out content for Season 1: We're still filming/editing the last couple episodes as we go, so the Bonusodes (improvised interviews with the cast, in-character) allow us more time to build an audience and such. Any thoughts, good/bad about this? (We're already doing it, obviously, for Season 1, but it would be nice to know any thoughts for a possible Season 2: Does it detract in any way?)
