Taking it to theaters
I would love to get an advertisement together that plays in some theaters across the country. But as this is a monumental task, it makes me wonder...if I had a group of people go in on it, it could be a sizzle reel that just says check out web series, with scenes from all these series and their name and web address. End with Web Series. Entertainment at your fingertips. Thoughts?

I like your ambition Jason but theater screen advertsing isn't cheap. The first step is contact the theater for ad rates. Would it run nationwide, regional, or locally? That will factor into cost. Most indie web series makers, which you're asking to join you on this can't fund a full production or see beyond tweeting and face booking let alone theater advertising. It's an ambitious project and thanks for putting it out there. Ya never know.

Indeed it isn't. I have contacted a few regional, but have found places to contact nationally as it would change cost. This could also apply to billboards in strategic locations, which would be cheaper on some level.

For billboards, it vary's on which company you go through, how long and where you want them to market. If I recall correctly depending on all that it ranged from around $2,000-$10,000. which is quite a range. I'll go back and see what i can dig up.
