So I just saw they announced the winners of the Webby Awards.  I totally missed it!   I'd love to see what people consider the "Best" of Web Series, and maybe even be able to submit to other festivals. What other awards/festivals/contests are out there and when are they held?

Interesting one that I just submitted to is http://www.gencon.com/.  It's actually a gaming convention that is doing a film festival as part of the activities.  They are taking features, shorts and series, so if your series could be something their audience might be into, it could be worth submitting.  I think in general there are these different conventions and niche film festivals that may take a web series even though they may not explicitly say they do if they feel it is of worth to their audience.  Kind of ties back into the idea of finding what different people may be interested in your content and getting their eyes to it.
This sounds like a good one...

i just mentioned to Bonnie about the Anaheim Film Festival (I think March of every year) and also the New York Television Festival (September) are two more to look out for.

Its a shame the Streamy Awards was an utter failure! it showed such promise...but its execution was diabolical! lol...uggghhh.

I know...

Did you know about the web series fest in California earlier this year? I wanted to go but it was already a full week. They had like seventy entries.

Nice to meet you. LA Web Fest...(I just glanced down and saw it on Rich's post)

The New Media Film Festival has an event in Los Angeles (june) and San Francisco (november). Interesting fact - a 3D short that was entered in November could not be screened because they did not have a 3D theater projector but they won in the 3D category and 2 weeks later the Discovery Channel picked them up because they heard they "won" the festival. So it doesn't hurt to enter and be a finalist or winner for sure.

The NEW categories in the next New Media Film Festival will be LIVE web shows and Trailers. We will be adding those 2 categories to the Audience Choice competition: Web Series, Trailers and LIVE / Unscripted. I'm pretty excited.

That's way cool...
Just to make sure...this years submission is over, but we can submit to next year?
For New Media Film Festival - there are 2 events - they are accepting for November 11 now
Thanks for the info.  If I come across any other fest, I'll add them here.  Great thread!
