I'm in a good space creativity right now. Excited to release the 4th issue of WSN magazine tomorrow. Added 4 more pages... in all the magazine will have 52 pages total, that's more than double last issue.
Comedy website CollegeHumor, known for there hit web series 'Jake and Amir' expanding into feature films has got me thinking about launching WSN Films, which will serve as the feature film division of WSN, specializing in micro-budget feature fare (ridding my vocabulary of the term low-budget). Also on my vision board... WSN Studios, an actual physical studio complete with production stages, camera equipment, etc, that we'll use (for film and web content) and rent out to others when not in use.
Question for you: What are your creative plans/ideas outside of web series?

yeah it is. lol. About as low as my Google Adsense and even blip.tv itself... well, I have a blogging tool on my site, but I use Yola. I don't get paid per word there, how do you do that? I had to put my Google Adsense link to that page in order to get a few more pennies (most days it's zero. lol)
Permalink Reply by Rich Mbariket on January 17, 2012 at 12:26pm Google Adsense sucks and honestly takes away from your blog. I used to run adsense and made money, but I prefer revenue via registration (which is currently at $11.95 a year) and will increase in the coming months. Just not a huge fan of banner ads these days. I don't click on them and don't want them on WSN. :)
Yeah, I hear ya... they look "cheap" and "unprofessional". lol. But what is registration you're referring to? Thanks again
Permalink Reply by Rich Mbariket on January 17, 2012 at 12:47pm Are you aware that WSN is no longer a free site to new members? We haven't been free since July 20. Annual membership now $11.95 (a buck a month).
Ohhh... you mean WSN. I thought you were referring to a method of blogging for money. lol. Right, I know you're not free, which is why I joined. :P

Hey buddy, thanks a bunch! I am really proud about it as it's a good validator and exposure potential. :) Hope you been doin' well. I've been busy but not so much with the project since we took a long break... I actually worked on someone else's webseries the other day as camera.

Permalink Reply by Anne Lower on January 14, 2012 at 2:43pm I'm having a GREAT time with an adventure style reality show that I am co-creating with a wonderful partner. We walk it into network in a couple of weeks... other than TLAU, it's about the most fun I've had in my life!
I'm also sketching out another webseries, very different from TLAU. Thought of it, it sounded like a keeper, so I'm playing with it right now, seeing what happens with it.
Congrats on WSN Films, can't wait to hear more about this!

Permalink Reply by Anne Lower on January 16, 2012 at 10:36am Sure! A bit...
I've been working with one of my cast members from TLAU on an adventure show. Very high concept, a lot of fun. We have an opportunity through a relationship to present the show to a cable network, so we have been assembling a pitch packet and polishing it to a fine sheen. It's been an exhilarating adventure, and to be truthful, outside of TLAU, I haven't had this much fun with a show in years. Doesn't feel like work - always a good thing.
I have to back off from it this week, as I prepare to launch my 72 hour TLAU Tweet-a-thon live on Twitter ala Jerry Lewis. Should be an... interesting week! ;)
Permalink Reply by Rich Mbariket on January 16, 2012 at 10:51am Good stuff, Anne. These days, producers have a better shot on cable than network TV. Keep me posted? :)
