Season 1: This sarcastic and awkwardly funny mocumentary follows the lives of two struggling actors trying to make it in a business that refuses to love them back. Watch as Curtis blindly leads his good friend Brendon down the road of success in search of fame.
Cast: Curtis Lum, Brendon Bertolini
Curtis (A charismatic egoist) and (the morbidly pessimistic introvert) Brendon are tired of waiting on opportunity to come knocking. The pair decide to hire a camera crew to follow their day to day routines at work, play, and within the acting industry. Shortly into the season we realize that the show is less about their budding acting careers and more about their contempt for their 9-5 jobs, and a testament to the skillful act of squirming their way out of a variety of awkward situations. Each (8 minute) episode seems to send them further and further away from their overly ambitious place in the industry's social hierarchy.
The show is set in the beautiful and sunny city of Vancouver, BC. While Curtis works for (his Uncle through marriage) an overbearing slave driver who's one mission in life seems to be making everyone around him inferior, Brendon is across town doing customer support for a Blue Tooth company managed by Randy a community college graduate who perches on the backs of his employees in a cheap attempt to keep them on task. Needless to say, Curtis and Brendon are ready to get out of their jobs and into full time acting positions.
