Simon Fuller & Investors Bid For 'Idol' Owner

Fuller created the Hulu web series 'If I Can Dream' and the 'American Idol' franchise



'American Idol' owner CKX announced on Friday it has received a buyout proposal from a group of investors led by Simon Fuller. CKX says it is evaluating the offer and other options. CKX is valued at almost $600 million.



Fuller created the 'Idol' franchise but sold his 19 Entertainment company to CKX, Inc. in 2005 for around $100 million.
