@Rich: I am scheduled to me with my team on Tuesday evening I will bring up the show idea and see how they feel about it. I promise I'll keep you posted.

Ramsey, just do you and connect with people you vibe with. I write about people and shows because I genuinely like them, not because of an ulterior motive. If you're gonna do your show, cover shows and people you like with no expectations and you'll be fine.

"The thing is that I've noticed there's really no support among the online content community."

Ha... you're paying attention! My vision for WSN was to connect the web series community, but instead we were becoming a social promoting site, so I'm removing all the promoting features on the homepage. I've tried for 3 years to connect web series folks, but its imposible to connect people who only think about themselves. I think the show is a great idea, but it won't be easy.

@Rich: The issue would be gathering support within the community. I have been considering doing the exact same thing for the online Machinima community, based off an internet radio show I am involved in. To say that such a show is needed is a very big understatement. The thing is that I've noticed there's really no support among the online content community.
I could put together a show and have it up and running in the near future, however how many would really watch and help promote the show I mean "when their show is not being featured"?
In my humble opinion I think we have too much of a "I'm not going to support anyone else because they might take my spot" attitude.

If there was clearly a way of showing me putting together such a show would not be a waste of time and energy I would gladly do it.

I would definitely be up to producing a online magazine show that focus on web series currently being streamed or in production.

I posted some stuff on Squidoo search engine and have been writing on my blog for the web series site. I believe educating people is a great marketing tool especially in Web 2.0.
