Brilliant: 'Zimm the Series' Creator Lets Viewers Pick Lead Actor [2 Videos Inside]

Gregory Storm, the creator of 'Zimm,' a coming web series about an FBI Agent is taking a different approach to casting the lead actor.

Storm has narrowed his lead actors to two, shot a high quality male and female version screen test with the two actors, and he's letting viewers pick which actor fits the role of Zimm.

Check out the screen tests below. Should the character Zimm be male or female? Let us know your pick and why.

Hey Guys I just wanted to tell you that I loved the idea that viewers get to pick the lead. That is new and amazing. I watched both and though that the female lead was great. I know that I would watch the show with her as the lead. She has more depth in this clip. I know that I have seen her before wut cannot remember her name. is there somewhere to vote for her or are the comments enough. Please let me know Terri

Rich - Thanks for the front page coverage! Glad you like the quality. We're going for a high caliber, big budget, Studio-backed look and feel but on a small indie web budget.

Even though these are just screen tests, we wanted to present them in the same manner as the series will be shot. Whether it be sponsors, advertisers, directors, writers, or actors, I think having great production value is going to be instrumental in getting people interested in being part of the series.

Ryan and Randi - We're going to have even more ways for the viewers to interact as we get further into Zimm.

Maya - Saw your FB page comments. Glad you liked that stare down. If she is the one we cast as Zimm, might even make an addition where he makes a move and she takes him down quick and efficient like.

Dave and I watched both screen tests and feel that the female lead is fantastic. She brings a lot of depth and vulnerability to the character. Keep the male lead from the screen test but place him as an antagonist.

Mark - Viewers have been excited about being able to choose. It's been interesting too see how much difference casting can really make, even with the same material.

Clever. Bannen-style quality. Exactly what web series needs to attract top advertisers. Good luck with the series.

I love this concept, definitely capitalizing on the interaction needed for a webseries.

Well, i already posted this on the FB page, but i gota go with the female, she shows more range of emotion, seems more "present" in her character and makes the role more believable. Can i just mention that i LOL'd when she looks up to the guy whos about 5 feet taller and says "...you really wanna get blood on your pretty lil outfit..?" :-) That woman has cajones :-)
