DirecTV and Fox Digital Studio 'Suit Up' for Web Series TV Project

DirecTV is teaming with Fox Digital Studio on a branded entertainment web series called Suit Up, set to air on Yahoo Screen and Yahoo Sports, beginning September 12, 2012 before making its broadcast premiere on DirecTV's Audience Network in January 2013.

The comedy series chronicles the attempt by renowned crisis manager Jim Dunnigan, played by Marc Evan Jackson (Reno 911, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) to cope with the corruption and intrigue surrounding a collegiate football program that loses a multi-million dollar television deal. Dunnigan's job entails using his connections and influence to save the program and restore its image.

Suit Up is FDS's fourth original web series produced in the last 12 months, following Vin Diesel's The Ropes (which it licensed to Netflix and Crackle), Wolfpack of Reseda and Let's Big Happy (both licensed to Myspace).

DirecTV greenlit the project 18 months ago.

DirecTV is exclusive sponsor. Will integrate its brand messages into the storyline. Also, I like the proactive approach to branded entertainment. Why sponsor other shows when you can create yours? :)

Interesting! Who is the brand that's involved with Suit Up?
