The Skinny: You launch your own Internet TV network, produce your own web shows, become successful at it, television comes calling (interested in carrying your shows), you license your web shows to television while maintaining complete creative control and freedom, and here's where it gets really cool... your shows continue on, remaining available online for your 300,000+ subscribers paying $99.95. That's what Glenn Beck has done is doing with his Internet TV network The Blaze TV (formerly GBTV).

On Wednesday, The Blaze TV will announce an agreement with Dish Network, the first of what it hopes will be many such deals. 

Said Mr. Beck: "Our success over the past year has given on the ability to go on traditional television while maintaining complete creative control and freedom and remaining at the center of the Internet revolution."

Beck said that his priority was control: both the "freedom to try new things" from a business standpoint and the flexibility to "do whatever show I wanted when I wanted" and program other shows from a creative standpoint. Online, he has done that. "Over the past year and a half, we have eliminated every disadvantage to being on traditional television," he said. 

The Blaze TV revealed several months ago that it had over 300,000 subscribers paying $99.95 a year or $9.95 a month. 

The Blaze TV will begin airing on Dish Network on Wednesday at 5PM.
