Original Web Series, Added By You!

Internet audiences tuning in for the newest "After The Beast" episode will be exposed to something they've never seen before: A preroll for Web Series Network.
Although we here all know and love WSN, many of us--if not most of us--are creators. And web series creators are a different group of people than web series viewers. That's the beauty of prerolls...they get the message in front of people who are actually watching web series.
Pioneered by WSN members Ryan McCalla and Rob York, preroll swapping is a simple way of advertising that has potential for big returns. As its name implies, you simply exchange short prerolls with another creator and stick them in front of an episode of your series. Swap with the right series and you could have thousands of potential viewers exposed to your show.
Simple right? So why is nobody doing it? In this industry full of indie creators begging for more views, collaboration is an easy way to advertise. It's free, gets your show exposed to actual viewers...and did I mention it's free?
Though some series have been able to monetize via sponsorships, they generally have already built up a following (Check out "Spell Fury"). However, for the new indie creator teaming up with other creators is a great way to start building that audience.

And on June 1st be sure to check out the WSN preroll on the episode! It will be available exclusively on WSN the night before.

Comment by AfterTheBeast on June 11, 2012 at 1:08pm Oops... didn't realize I could delete comments on my own blog post! Sorry Rich! I agree and think more people should be doing this. Especially the comedy/dramas since there are so many of them that all have the same basic audience they're going for!
Thanks for posting my Blog entry Rich!
