Update: So FX passed on Broad City, a web series that was originally being developed at the network as reported by WSN last year. Now Comedy Central has picked up the project and ordered a pilot episode based on the recommendation of SNL alum Amy Poehler originally attached as producer and EP at FX.

"Amy Poehler told me this would be a great show for us, and that's good enough for me," said Kent Alterman head of original programming and production at Comedy Central in a statement yesterday.
Amy is still attached as the show runner. Abbi Jacobson and Illana Glazer created the project, which follows the day-to-day lives of two friends living in New York City.
