Given the success of YouTube's original channels program launched in the US last year, the company announced yesterday the expansion of the program to France, Germany and UK. Per YouTube, the top 25 original channels are now averaging over a million views every week, and that partners are reaching the 100k subscribe mark 5x faster than they were just two years ago. 

From local cuisine, health and wellness and parenting to sports, music, comedy, animation and news, this new lineup of original channels will have something for everyone. They are backed by some of the biggest producers, well-known celebrities and emerging media companies from Europe and the US.

YouTube has invested more than $200 million in the program, which goes towards original programming and marketing costs. The new channels will roll out in the months ahead.
