"I know Joss (Whedon) is excited about it, Nathan (Fillion) would love to do one, Felicia (Day) as well. And I would certainly be on board. I just have this sneaking feeling in my gut that they would make a Dr. Horrible feature film and then cast Andrew Garfield as Dr. Horrible." - Neil Patrick Harris on musical comedy web series 'Dr. Horrible Sing-a-long Blog' sequel via USA Today.

Food Network, Cooking Channel Exec Bruce Seidel Leaves TV For Web Series

Posted by Rich Mbariket on January 31, 2012 at 9:48am 0 Comments

The channels will make shows for the Web and offer them on demand. Online, companies can “tap into genres not currently serviced within the television world,” Mr. Seidel said in an email to New York Times, which first reported the story.

Bruce Seidel, who oversaw original programming and development for the Food Network and Cooking Channel on cable TV is moving online to run a food channel on Youtube as part of Youtube's $100M financing initiative of branded channels aimed at creating, developing, producing and distributing original web shows.

Seidel will join Electus, the digital studio formed by former NBC prexy Ben Silverman and will serve as chief executive of the channel. He will start in July.

Question for WSN: What do you make of TV execs and personalities leaving TV for Internet?

Who Else Is Sick of Sh*t Everyone Says Trend?

Posted by Rich Mbariket on January 31, 2012 at 9:20am 2 Comments

I don't really care much for this, WSN, that's why I didn't cover it. But you all might, so thought I'd share.

Seems people are sick of the comedy web series 'Sh*t Girls Say' trend floating around the web.

It's one parody after the other and its getting gotten out of hand. Here's an article on the matter.

Are you sick of this trend as well?

Raw Footage: Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D, Comparable To 5D, 7D and 60D [Thoughts?]

Posted by Rich Mbariket on January 28, 2012 at 8:27am 0 Comments

Went to Samy's Camera in Hollywood on Thursday to inquire about low end DSLR cameras comparable to the 60D, 5D and 7D. They recommended the Canon EOS Rebel T3i (known as Canon 600D abroad). It shoots 1080p HD and retails for around $800 brand new. Here's a raw footage I found on Youtube. Great camera for those in the $800 [budge] range. Thoughts?
